"A strong magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred in the North Pacific Ocean 206 km (128 mi) from Japan in the early morning at 4.32 am local time (GMT +9). The quake had a shallow depth of 40 km (25 mi) and was not felt (or at least not reported so)." VD
