5.8 Earthquake - 4 km N of Toride, Japan

"A strong magnitude 5.8 earthquake hit 38 km (24 mi) away from Saitama, Saitama, Japan, in
the early morning at 2.00 am local time (GMT +9). The quake had a shallow depth of 61 km (38 mi) and was felt over a large region. The shallow depth of the quake caused it to be felt more strongly near the epicenter than a deeper quake of similar magnitude would."
